At the conclusion of the grand finale of Miss Guatemala World 2017 hosted by Miss Guatemala 2002, Karina Velásquez, Lisbeth Gómez was crowned Miss World Guatemala 2017 and she will now represent in the Miss World 2017 pageant scheduled to be held on 18th November 2017 in Sanya, China.
She succeeds and was crowned by Miss World Guatemala 2016 Melanie Espina. At the same event, Elizabeth Gramajo, Yasmin Alvarado and Gabriela Castillo were crowned as Miss World Guatemala 2018, Miss Intercontinental Guatemala 2018 and Miss International Guatemala 2018 respectively. They all will represent in their respective International pageants in the year 2018.
Lisbeth hails from Guatemala City and pursuing her graduation from Rafael Landívar University. She bested 13 other candidates to clinch the coveted crown of Miss Guatemala Mundo 2017.
On winning the title of Miss Guatemala World 2017, Lisbeth said, “I am living one of my best moments in my life, first of all, I thank my heavenly father who is the one who gives me life and taught me how to grow, I also want to thank Guatemala for believing in me and I promise to represent them worthily the way is not easy but I am sure that I will give the best of me.”
