The Road to Miss World Guyana 2016 officially kicks off with the sashing ceremony of the Ten Finalists. The exquisite ceremony was held at Cara Lodge on Saturday, April 23’ 2016, which was attended by some special invitee only. The official sashing event of Miss World Guyana 2016 started at 10 AM.

The coveted pageant of Miss World Guyana 2016 is slated to be held in the capital city of Guyana, Georgetown on 27’ May 2016, wherein a total number of 10 finalists will compete against each other to clinch the coveted crown of Miss World Guyana 2016.

During the sashing ceremony of Miss World Guyana 2016, every beautiful aspirant was presented with their respective sashes.

The Miss World Guyana 2016 pageants preliminary activities will continue for a month and the contestants will be judged on the basis of various preliminary competitions in accordance with the Miss World pageant.

As per the sources, on April 30’ 2016 the 10 pageant hopefuls will undergo the Glam Shot Photoshoot, followed by an Image Series Workshop, Empowerment Forum and Fitness & Sports Competition.

The Personal Interview Competition is slated to be held on May 13’ 2016, followed by Talent Round and Top Model Round on May 15’ 2016 and May 19’ 2016 respectively.

The “Beauty with a Purpose” presentation will be the last and most crucial stage before the coronation night, which is slated to take place on May 23, 2016.

At the end of the pageant, reigning Miss World Guyana Lisa Punch will pass her coveted crown and reign to her successor. Lisa Punch represented Guyana at Miss World 2015 held on 19’ December 2015 in Sanya, China, where she placed as one of the Top 10 finalist. The talented songster was also honoured with the titles of Miss World Talent, Top 10 Beauty with a Purpose and Top 5 Multimedia. Versatile, Lisa is currently studying Performing Arts at University and recently auditioned for a role in a production of the Wizard of Oz.
