As the countries are busy selecting representatives for the 2016 international pageants, here is another country that crowned its representative for the Miss World 2016 pageant. Anna Lara Orlowska was crowned as Miss Iceland 2016 and will now represent Iceland at the Miss World 2016 pageant. Anna succeeds the outgoing Miss Iceland Arna Yr Jonsdottir.

22 years old Anna has a youthful charm to her beauty and possesses a contagious smile. With a perfectly toned figure, Anna with the right grooming and training will be able to make it big in the Miss World 2016 pageant.

At the same pageant, Elfa Rut Gisladottir was crowned Miss World Sport, Donna Cruz was awarded with the Miss People’s Choice Award, Hulda Margret Siguroardottir won Miss Talent and Anita Osp Ingolfsdottir was named Miss Top Model.

Till the year 2009, the winner used to go to Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss International pageant. But after 2009, the Organisation only sends delegates to the Miss World pageant. Iceland’s performance at the Miss World has been quite impressive, with the country winning three Miss World crowns till date. Hólmfríður Karlsdóttir was the first person from Iceland to win Miss World 1985. After 3 years in 1988, Linda Pétursdóttir brought back the crown to Iceland. In 2005, Unnur Birna Vilhjálmsdóttir won the Miss World title by defeating heavy favourites from Puerto Rico, USA & Philippines.
