Raquel Pelissier crowned as Miss Universe Haiti 2016

At the conclusion of the finale of Miss Universe Haiti 2016 held on 27th August 2016 at the Royal Oasis Raquel Pelissier was crowned as the winner. Raquel succeeds Lisa Drouillard and will now represent Haiti at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant.

25 years old Raquel Pelissier stands tall at an astounding height of 181cm and speaks English, French, Spanish, Haitian, Creole and German. Raquel has a degree in Optometry and has a Masters in Scientific Research. During the pageant night at the Royal Oasis by Occidental Hotels Grand Ballroom, the newly crowned also took home the Miss Popular title.

At the same pageant, Cassandre Joseph was crowned Miss International Haiti 2016, Armelle Rose Williams was adjudged the first runner-up, Danourah Bien-aimé was titled second runner, and Pierrie Ganaelle Toussaint finished as third runner-up. Meanwhile, Dorothy Jean emerged as Miss Photogenic and Edith Elbrena as Miss Friendly.
