The finale of Miss World Japan 2022 was held on 22nd September 2022 at the Hulic Hall, Tokyo where Kana Yamaguchi was crowned the new queen as she became the official representative of Japan at Miss World 2022. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss World Japan 2021 Tamaki Hoshi.

Kana Yamaguchi is 24 years of age and a licensed teacher and model. She bested thirty other finalists including her sister to win the crown. On winning her crown, Kana took to her official social media as she wrote, "If only I could support myself, I faced myself for a year with that thought, and over the last two years, I got my revenge on this Miss World. Inheriting the baton from the wonderful past representatives of Japan and keeping in mind the thoughts of the finalists who fought together, I will continue to devote myself to the world tournament.”

“I am filled with gratitude from the bottom of my heart for being able to welcome this day, and for being able to stand on that stage once again. I will do my best to overcome any adversity and become a representative of Japan who will continue to challenge forever”, she added.

Also at the end of the event finale, Yuria Hirose, Nao Nakamura and Kiana Tomita completed the Top 4 and were adjudged as the runners-up. Japan is yet to pioneer its win at Miss World.
