The Miss World Malaysia organization is hosting the national auditions in full swings searching for a new queen to be crowned as Miss World Malaysia and be a part of the prestigious international pageant. This year’s national production will be held in Sabah International Convention Centre – SICC in the month of August.
While the excitement for the upcoming edition is brewing, Dr Sean Wong, National Director of Miss Universe Malaysia, has recently announced the invitation for reigning beauty queens, Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska and Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien as special guests for the national competition.
The divas will participate in the charity drives and will attend the festival. Sabah capital will play host to three beauty pageants – Miss World Malaysia, Miss Grand Malaysia and Miss Supranational Malaysia – this August. The pageants are scheduled to be held at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) as part of the inaugural HyperLive Festival Malaysia on 27th and 28th August.
The candidate requirements for aspiring divas of Miss World Malaysia 2022 include –
Between 18-27 years old
Eligible for non-muslims only
Citizen of Malaysia
Born as female
Never been married or divorced or have had children
Possess a good personality and good communication skill
Must be able to communicate well in Bahasa Malaysia and English
Able to commit to all activities or event held by the organizer
The reigning Miss World Malaysia is Lavanya Sivaji of Selangor. She represented Malaysia at Miss World 2021 in San Juan, Puerto Rico where she placed in the top 40 quarter-finalist. The organization will also crown the country’s representatives for the upcoming editions of Miss Supranational and Miss Grand International pageants.
