Nyekachi Douglas crowned Miss World Nigeria 2019

The 32nd edition of the MBGN pageant was held on 11th October 2019 at the Gabriel Okara Cultural Centre in Bayelsa State, Nigeria. Thirty-seven contestants competed for the national title this year for the opportunity to represent Nigeria in Miss Universe 2019 and Miss World 2019.

At the end of the event finale, Nyekachi Douglas was crowned the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2019 (MGBN) as she became the official delegate of Miss World 2019. The 21-year-old beauty hails from Ibaa in Emohua LGA, who represented Rivers State at the contest.

Along with her, Olutosin Araromi, Miss Taraba, was named as 1st runner-up at the pageant and became the official representative of Nigeria in Miss Universe 2019. Olutosin is 25 years old and stands 181 cm tallas she hails from Jalingo. She is also a beauty pageant veteran and was once Miss Nigeria USA in 2015 known for her humanitarian work and advocacy.

Miss Abuja Pamela Ifejoku, Miss Edo Akeelah Aminu and Miss Bayelsa Becky Ogene finished in the third, fourth and fifth spots respectively. The fifteen contestants who competed for the contest were Miss Zamfara Tamarabrakemi Tonwerigha, Miss Taraba Olutosin Araromi, Miss Abia Michelle Nwagbara, Miss Bayelsa Becky Ogene, Miss Delta Joy Ossai, Miss Ebonyi Joy Ejiro Akpokiniovo, Miss Kano Ezinne Offiah, Miss Bauchi Chiamaka Nlemoha, Miss Rivers Nyekachi Douglas, Miss Abuja Pamela Ifejoku, Miss Imo Ugonna Njemanze, Miss Edo Akeelah Aminu, Miss Anambra Agatha Chukwuelue, Miss Enugu Munachimso Oji and Miss Katsina Chidinma Nwachukwu.
