Earlier, on 26 January, reigning Miss World Mireia Lalaguna Royo was invited to ‘El Hormiguero’ which is a popular chat show in Spain.

During her interview, Pablo Motos made the young lady confess:  “I cheated a little on a test. I presented a video playing piano, but it was a mounted track. And they loved that, and hired me and wanted me to go to a college in China on very next day to play the same music in a studio with 200 people, for which I had not prepared myself. Luckily I escaped because the act is annulled.”

But now the Miss World Organisation clarifies that the introduction video showing Mireia Lalaguna Royo playing the piano did not form the part of her official entry into Miss World.

Miss World Organisation clarifies about Miss World 2015 Mireia Lalaguna Royo Talent Audition Round

The video was made by the national organisers in Spain many weeks ago to introduce their contestant to the web and was not a part of the judging process of Miss World in any way. The video is set to a backing track which at one point Mireia joins in with.

Mireia regrets this and wishes to state categorically that she would not cheat nor does she approve of cheating in any way.

As per the MW organization, no videos are accepted as an entry to the Talent Competition. All the contestants must perform their talent live for the judging panel. Mireia entered the talent competition but did not qualify for the next round and therefore earned no points on this event.

Mike Dixon, Talent Judge declared: “Mireia came with Indonesia, United States and Curacao to a piano studio for the audition and play the piano live. Mireia did not qualify for the next round.

Mireia’s chose “La Malagueña” de Albéniz song for her audition, which was a Spanish song.
