Last night on 26 January, Mireia Lalaguna Royo was invited to ‘El Hormiguero’ which is a popular chat show in Spain, featuring celebrity special appearances! The show is telecast on Antena 3 channel.

The Catalan model told Pablo Motos (host of the show) and the viewers of the program (Antena 3, starting at 21:45) how she lived every moment of her victory in China, and how she managed to outperform more than 120 applicants participating in the contest. She also spoke about the project which she will be going to handle in her outgoing 12 months reign.

“It is not just about beauty. My goal is to raise the maximum amount of money for social projects. Next month I’m going to Kenya.”

During her interview, Pablo Motos made the young lady confess: “I cheated a little on a test. I presented a video playing piano, but it was a mounted track. And they loved that, and hired me and wanted me to go to a college in China on very next day to play the same music in a studio with 200 people, for which I had not prepared myself. Luckily I escaped because the act is annulled.”

The beauty queen was put in a tight spot when she was asked by the organizers to play that music live in front of university students back in China. She however got away with it when the show was cancelled after some key personnel got sick. During the interview Mireia admitted “I cheated but, well, I’ve got the crown!”

She was crowned Miss World 2015 on December 21’ 2015 at the end of the mesmerizing ceremony held in Sanya, China. She became the first Spanish to have won one of the world’s oldest and prestigious crown.
