These rumors are not new to the walls of pageantry and have been echoing around since last year. While some sources believe that the cancellation of the franchise of Miss World is initiated by Julia Morley to Lupita Jones, for not paying heed to exclusivity that is required in the pageant, many sources also state that the strongest sponsor, Televisa has not provided sufficient support needed for organizing the event. The national pageant’s rumored financial crisis has led to poor ratings. In addition, several Mexican states have refused to sponsor the contest due to the large sum of money demanded by the National Director, Lupita Jones to cover the production and logistics.
