Lucía Arellano officially replaced Jennifer Barrantes as the new Miss World Peru 2022 in a special coronation ceremony held on Monday, 14th August 2023 at BTH Hotel Lima Golf in San Isidro. Since then, Arellano has been preparing to represent Peru at Miss World 2023.

Lucia is 28 years of age and hails from the Loreto region. The stunning Peruvian beauty is a model and an entrepreneur by profession. Not new to the pageantry, Lucia was adjudged as the second runner-up at Miss Peru 2022.

Lucia, through her official social media, thanked the organization for the responsibility as she wrote, “Receiving the title of Miss World Peru 2022 is not only a great responsibility, but also having the honor and pride of being the ambassador of all that is wonderful in Peru. I am very grateful for this great opportunity.”

“Thanks to this platform, I can continue working and cultivating with great performance that our Peruvian children are free and aware of current needs and create a positive impact on each one of them. I assume this beautiful mission with great awareness, commitment and love, and I ask all Peruvians for their support so that together we can achieve this important objective. The work is not only mine, it belongs to everyone”, she added.

The coronation night of Miss World 2023 will be held in India in March this year where Karolina Bielawska Miss World 2022 will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
