Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez will crown her successor soon but ever since she won the national crown, the Filipina beauty has been doing her bit to make the world a better place. Even though she has decided to retire from pageantry after she relinquishes her crown to her successor, Katarina will never stop working towards the betterment of the world.

For her utter sincerity and dedication, Katarina was recently appointed the Ambassador of Save the Children Foundation and became the first Filipina to be given such an honour. Save the Children Foundation invests in the childhood and works to improve the lives of children through better education, health care and economic opportunities – especially in helping the children struck in the war areas.

Miss World Philippines Organization took to their official social media to announce the wonderful news in a post captioned, “Our Miss World Philippines Organization General Manager Arnold Mercado with Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez at the centenary celebration of Save The Children | Celebrating 100 years of “Save The Children” Organization. I am so proud of my dear friend, Katarina Rodriguez, Miss World Philippines 2018, becomes the first ever Save The Children Philippines Ambassador. With or without a crown, this is a cause close to her heart and one that she will continue to promote.”
