Miss World Philippines 2020/21 officially began on 3rd February 2021 as the organization held the official screening at the Red Hotel Philippines for the divas who aspire to represent the Philippines on the international stage.
The panel of the judges including Miss Multinational Philippines Isabelle de Leon, Miss World Philippines 2019 Michelle Marquez Dee, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2019 Katrina Llegado, Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2019 Mary Daena Zaide Resurreccion, Miss Eco Philippines 2020 Kelley Day, Miss Eco Teen International 2020 Roberta Angela Tamondong, Miss World Philippines 2019 2nd Princess Kristi Banks along with national director Arnold L. Vegafria was highly impressed to see such talented and aspiring divas perform their best on-stage to make it to the pageant.
Here are a few of the potential divas who impressed everyone with their performance and can make it to the Miss World Philippines 2020/21 competition:
Ganiel Krishnan
Ganiel Krishnan is 26-years-old and stands 168 cm tall; was among the early batch of aspirants who submitted their application and during the screening impressed everyone with her confidence and dedication towards winning. The diva is a courtside reporter for the UAAP's broadcast coverage of ABS-CBN Sports+Action, who reports for her school, the FEU Tamaraws varsity teams. During the screening, she mentioned that her experience as a journalist has equipped her for the international stage and molded her mission of sharing people’s stories that would help in making a positive change in society. She is surely one of the favourites for the title and we believe that she has the potential to make it to the competition.
Riana Pangindian
Riana Pangindian is 24-years-old and stands 168 cm tall. She works as a professional model and was last seen on-stage at Miss Universe Philippines 2020 where she finished in Top 16 is also one of the favorites for Miss World Philippines 2020/21. Vying for the crown to shape the future of the younger generation; Riana has managed to impress the panel and the audience with her confidence and dedication towards winning. Her experience from Miss Universe Philippines 2020 will surely help her in the competition if she gets selected.
Jo-Ann Dela Torre Flores
Jo-Ann Dela Torre Flores is 26-years-old and was also a participant at Miss Universe Philippines 2020 competition where she managed to impress everyone with her determination and focus towards winning the title. She is a proud scholar in the field of Hotel Management and is an education advocate. Jo is a strong, confident woman who believes that the greatness of an individual lies within them and success is not an accident. She certainly seems a potential candidate to represent the Philippines at the international stage.
Kim Panaligan Babao
Kim Panaligan Babao who was adjudged as the first runner-up at Miss Oriental Mindoro 2017 has managed to impress the panel as well as the pageant fanatics with her confidence and looks for the screening day of Miss World Philippines 2020/21. The diva is beautiful and is determined to win the title and represent the Philippines at the international level as she has been preparing herself for the competition for a while. She seems assured and positive with her goals in life and with the determination she showcases, she could be a potential candidate for one of the titles at Miss World Philippines 2020/21.
Lea Macapagal
Lea Macapagal is 23-years-old and stands 176 cm tall and works as Tv commercial and print model. The diva who is a former candidate of Miss Earth Philippines is one of the favorites for the title as she has showcased her immense dedication towards winning the title and representing the Philippines on the international stage. Lea’s stage presence can be felt as she enjoys and is comfortable being on-stage. Asha Gutierrez
Asha Gutierrez is a model, creative writer for Love Yourself, yoga teacher, Latin dancer, and an aspiring representative of the Philippines. She is fearlessly working towards her goals in life and continues to power through obstacles with a perseverant mindset and positive outlook on life. The diva was a part of Miss World Philippines 2019 where she managed to impress everyone with her positive, determined, and humble attitude. Asha strongly feels that beauty pageants have helped her to express herself in a much positive way and with Miss World Philippines 2020/21, she’d like to represent her country on the international stage.
Jerelleen Rodriguez
Jerelleen Rodriguez who represented the Philippines at Miss United Continents 2018 is also one of the aspiring divas who were spotted at the screening of Miss World Philippines 2020/21. She is confident and assured about herself which is one of the reasons why she could be a strong contender for the national crown. She aspires to be a positive influence and inspiration to the younger generation.
Julie Tarrayo
Julie Tarrayo is 24-years-old and stands 175 cm tall and is one of the potential candidates vying for the title of Miss World Philippines 2020/21. She desired to participate in the national competition because she feels she has the potential and we’d like to agree with her as she seems focused and dedicated to achieving what she sets her mind on.
