16 Sep 2020 | Camilla Suarez

The organization of Miss World Philippines had announced that the finale of Miss World Philippines 2020 will be held in the month of December where the divas from all over the country will compete for the national title and the opportunity to represent the Philippines at Miss World 2020. The organization will also crown the representative of the Philippines to Miss Supranational from this year.

The organization also announced that the participation of the previous title holders will also be allowed if they are eligible (age) and not crowned Miss World Philippines prior to this edition. With wish lists being prepared for the crown, Ashlee Tuason seems like an ideal contender for Miss World Philippines 2020 crown. Ashlee is 20-years-old and is a professional public speaker who has her own podcast channel where she talks about everything starting from acceptance, happiness, dealing with negative judgements, etc. She loves to share her life stories or experiences with the people so that she can impact the people around her with positive and happy thoughts.

The diva is not new the pageantry as she was crowned Miss Rizal 2019 and was highly appreciated for her strong and impressive stage presence. Ashlee is a great writer too and usually expresses her thoughts and opinions via writing too. When she completed her year of being Miss Rizal 2019, she took to her writing to appreciate what she had gained throughout that experience. She mentioned, “Winning the crown of Miss Rizal 2019 has been my greatest achievement thus far and remembering every single moment could make me cry. Upon winning the title, it has opened a lot of doors for me and it has led to me to a greater, more meaningful life experiences.”  She had stated that winning the crown had helped her to be confident, strong, and focused towards her goals in life.

Talking about the discrimination she faced initially, Ashlee stated that she always felt like she wasn’t worthy of the crown because of the stereotype that only the most beautiful woman tends to win which led to her loosing all the confidence and made her doubt her capabilities. But her focus was so clear that she kept going like a force and worked hard on making the dream turn into a real on. The diva opened about the struggles she faced after winning the crown too, she stated, “It was hard to juggle with three different jobs; my studies, pageants, and travel series around Rizal. But who would have thought that out of 40 beautiful title holders in different provinces from the Philippines, Rizal finished at TOP 10! What an indelible moment for me although answering a question live on TV was nerve-wracking!”

Ashlee has always mentioned how grateful she is for the opportunities that rose for her after the win and how the pageant has positively changed her life. She describes herself as a hardworking, confident, focused woman which seems like an ideal choice for a person who would be representing the Philippines at international level in the coming time. She also mentioned a little message for everyone, “If you are doubting yourself right now and you feel like you are unable or are more unlikely to succeed in life. Never lose hope. You have a long way ahead of you and life is supposed to be exciting, not frightening. You are more than what you think of and no one, no one could ever stop you from chasing your dreams.”

Ashlee is strong, confident, and focused towards her goal and her desire to be a positive and impactful role model in the lives of people would help her at the competition if she decides to participate. She has a charming face and personality which can turn out to be very helpful during the competition if she decides to participate. She is a potential candidate for representing the Philippines at international stage because she is experienced on how it feels like to be on-stage, self-assured, and positive about herself and her performance.
