On Monday, July 22nd, the picturesque city of Coimbra welcomed the 12 Miss World Portugal finalists. This historic city, known for its rich cultural heritage, was the perfect backdrop for the contestants as they explored some of Portugal's most iconic landmarks.
Their first stop was the enchanting "Portugal dos Pequeninos" miniature park. Established in 1940, this unique theme park offers meticulously crafted replicas of famous Portuguese landmarks and international structures. The finalists marveled at the intricate details of the miniature palaces, castles, and villages, including notable replicas such as the University of Coimbra and the Tower of Belem in Lisbon.
The tour continued with a visit to the Coimbra Exploratory, a center dedicated to promoting science and scientific culture. Here, the contestants engaged in interactive exhibits and exchanged knowledge, all within the esteemed grounds of Coimbra University. This university, the oldest in Portugal and one of the oldest in the world, provided a fitting setting for the finalists to expand their horizons.
After a day of exploration and learning, the finalists returned to Luso, where they are preparing for the Sports Challenge set for Tuesday. As the grand final approaches on Saturday, July 27th, these remarkable young women are showcasing not only their beauty but also their intellect and passion for learning.
Best of luck to all the contestants as they continue their journey towards the Miss World Portugal crown!
