The organization of Miss Mundo Puerto Rico held the coronation ceremony on 24th April 2021 at Alejandro Tapia Theater in Old San Juan where Aryam Díaz Rosado was crowned Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2021 and earned the opportunity to represent Puerto Rico at Miss World 2021 scheduled for December 2021.
Aryam is 22-years-old and stands 175 cm tall. She is studying journalism and drama at the University of the Sacred Heart but had to put the studies on hold to concentrate on the competition. She works as a TV host and professional model. She succeeded Miss World Puerto Rico 2019, Daniella Rodríguez, for the title and is very excited to take over the crown duties. After Aryam was crowned as the new queen, she mentioned, “I am very happy and honoured for all the effort. I will represent Puerto Rico with great pride and preparation at the international level. Simply grateful to God and the people who supported me. It is a joy for me, the effort was worth it.”

Aryam is passionate about beauty pageants and since a very young age, she aspired to be a beauty queen and started working as a model at a talent agency called, Talent Us and then Krone Models and Talent Management. She describes herself as outgoing and optimistic and believes that Miss World’s ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ platform motivated her to participate in the beauty pageant as she saw the opportunity to put her modelling techniques while simultaneously fulfilling her role as a volunteer in favour of children.
Aryam described that she started volunteering and offering children workshops on self-esteem, modeling, diction, and theatre in 2016. She stated that whatever she was learning, she was teaching the children too which would help them to develop other things to clear their minds of the problems they had. The beauty queen further added, “Many were orphans and did not have the support of their families. I grew up alone with my mother, and I have seen everything that has had to happen for me to be where I am. It has not been easy. So, if I can help so many children, why not do it, since I have the tools.”
The beauty describes that children are everything to her and she aspired to be a teacher but her interest inclined towards journalism. She feels immensely proud and honoured to earn the opportunity to represent Puerto Rico at Miss World 2021. Although she feels well prepared for international competition, she indicates that the next plan is to continue learning about the culture, continue practicing its projection, and training physically as before. She was also Miss Teen Global Beauty International 2018.
Aryam states that beauty is relative and what makes us beautiful in the world is our thoughts, actions, and our work as beauty queens. She stated that she admires that beauty pageants are now changing stereotypes of a typical woman and accepting everyone regardless of height, weight, or skin colour. She lastly added, “We are all queens, we are all worthy, as long as we fulfil the work, responsibility, and social cause. We are definitely in years of positive changes.”
