At the conclusion of the splendid finale of Miss Scotland 2017 held at the Hilton Doubletree, Glasgow, Romy McCahill was crowned as the winner. She succeeds Lucy Kerr, Miss Scotland 2016, and will now represent Scotland in Miss World 2017 to be held on 18th November 2017 in China.

Romy defeated thirteen other gorgeous beauties to clinch the coveted title and the crown. The beauty was earlier crowned as Miss Earth Scotland 2014 which in turn gave her the opportunity to represent Scotland in Miss Earth 2014, where she finished amongst the Top 16 semi-finalists at the finale won by Jamie Herrell of the Philippines.

At the same event, Catriona McNee and Olivia McPike were titled as the first and second runner-up respectively. Remaining finalists were Amy Brannigan, Anita Walls, Bryony Suttle, Chloe Bella Armstrong, Jade Nelson, Kirin Dolan, Megan Hunt, Paula McCormack, Sophie Wallace, and Tanya McAlister.

Last year, the stunner also participated in the Miss Universe Great Britain contest, where she won the Best Hair special award but could not win the title.
