Nadia Gyi is all set to represent Sri Lanka in Miss World 2018 as she was crowned Miss World Sri Lanka 2018 at the grand coronation night held on 25th September 2018 at The Hilton Hotel, Colombo. She will now represent Sri Lanka in Miss World 2018 to be held in Sanya, China, where Miss World 2017 Manushi Chillar will crown the winner.
Nadia defeated 10 other contestants to earn the title and was crowned by Miss World Sri Lanka 2017 Dusheni Silva. Unfortunately, Dusheni was unable to secure a position in the Top 40 in the finale of Miss World 2017 where she represented Sri Lanka.

Nadia is 20 years of age and is from the city of Colombo. She was already a strong contestant throughout the contest and there was no doubt she would make a mark in the finale. Nadia was the winner of two mini pageants in Miss World Sri Lanka 2018, namely Model of the Year and Miss Confidence.
During her spare time, Nadia likes to play sports. As she enjoys modelling, Nadia goes to the gym to keep herself fit and to maintain a healthy body type.
After winning the national title, an exasperated and bedazzled Nadia commented on her win, saying, “How I feel right now is absolutely indescribable. I think all the hard work paid off and I’m very excited. I have one month to prepare for the main pageant and I will make use of it and definitely try to bring the crown home.”
