The Miss Tanzania organization recently appointed Juliana Rugumisa as the official representative of Tanzania for the 70th edition of Miss World to be held in December in Puerto Rico. The announcement was made via Miss Tanzania’s official social media account and Juliana has succeeded Miss World Tanzania 2019 Sylvia Sebastian, for the title.
The decision comes after Rose Manfere, who was crowned Miss Tanzania 2020/2021, will not be able to represent the country at Miss World 2021 due to reasons uncited. Juliana was adjudged as the first runner-up at Miss Tanzania 2020. Thus, she was appointed as the new representative for Tanzania for Miss World 2021.
Juliana is 23-years-old. She has a bachelor's degree in prosthetics and orthotics at Moshi KCMC and is very excited about representing Tanzania at Miss World 2021. She is passionate about beauty pageants and believes that she will be able to perform her best on-stage to make Tanzania proud.
She decided to enter the Miss Tanzania pageant just so she could fulfill her dream of helping the disabled and her project has been renamed 'ABILITY TO DISABILITY'. She wants to use the platform given to her to assist children with physical disabilities in Tanzania to obtain assistive devices, rehabilitation services and proper education. She wants to excel in the beauty industry and, as a prosthetist and orthotist, use the two platforms to help and raise voice for children with physical disabilities so that they can get basic rights, including the right to education.
The beauty from Tanzania, believes that a good leader is someone who praises in public and addresses the problems in private. "Good leaders look for constructive solutions and focus on moving forward," stated Juliana. With her spectacular performance at Miss Tanzania 2020/2021, she managed to secure the position as first runner-up and now will be representing the country at Miss World 2021.
Juliana is strong, confident, clear with her goals and dedicated towards them. She has always encouraged people to help the ones who are not able to help themselves and make the world a better place to live. She feels grateful for all the opportunities that came along her way and helped her to be confident, strong, and more eye-opening towards how to make society better. She is grateful that she has been appointed to represent the country she loves dearly at such a prestigious stage and will now start preparing for the competition.
Congratulations!
