Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2020 Top 6 Hot Picks

The coronation ceremony of Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2020 will be held soon where the delegates from all over the country will participate and compete for the national title as well as an opportunity to represent Trinidad and Tobago at Miss World 2020 stage. Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2019 Tya Jané Ramey will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

The Miss World Trinidad and Tobago organizationannounced the Top 15 finalists who will be competing for the title few days ago. The event was hosted by Miss World Caribbean 2019 TyaJanè Ramey and Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2016 Daniella Walcott. The screening was held in March at Cascadia Hotel, St. Ann’s with an impressive record of attracting the highest number of applicants for the national title.

The finalists were quizzed and assessed on their personal style and walk and were judged by the panel of judges including Miss World 1986 Giselle La Ronde-West and former Miss World Trinidad and Tobago Rachel Ann Thomas Telemaque. The organization stated that they are not sure whether the pageant will be held this year or not but they will continue to work towards their goal to develop young women to their fullest potential and help prepare them to be ambassador for Trinidad and Tobago.

But we’ve picked out the top 6 finalists from the group that we think have the potential to win the title and represent the country of Trinidad and Tobago at Miss World 2020 stage. So, let’s take a look at the potential delegates –

Samara Pantin is representing the city of Port of Spain at the competition and currently works at the Children Affairs Division of the office of the Prime Minister. She is 19-years-old and stands 180 cm tall. Samara aims to become a social worker and mentor young people transitioning out of the state care. Chanda Marie La Touche is representing the city of Diego Martin at the competition and is currently pursuing her masters in International Relations. She is 26 years-old and stands 172 cm tall. Chanda is the representative of Trinidad Youth representative for the National Aids Coordinating committee. The diva loves to perform art and is a member of the North West Laventille Cultural Movement. Jeanine Brandt is representing the city of Palmiste at the competition and is currently a makeup artist and owns her own business. She is 24-years-old and stands 172 cm tall. Jeanine aspires to be become a holistic health coach and to inspire more people to speak their truth and to live their life’s purpose and give back to humanity in whatever way they feel called to. She describes herself as hardworking, determined, spiritual and kindhearted. Chryshelle Williams is representing the city of Arima at the competition and is a research assistance as she has a degree in BSc in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. Chryshelle is 24-years-old and stands 162 cm tall. She entered the beauty pageant world at the age of 12 but was not pushed enough because she was told that she wasn’t tall enough for the pageant. After years of learning self-appreciation and self-love, she decided to follow her dream, putting God first, and became one of the finalists at Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2020. Trishelle Leacock is representing the city of Scarborough at the competition and has her own resort wear line and is also a social media manager. She is the daughter of Tobago's most popular radio personality, George Leacock.Trishelle is 24-years-old and stands 172 cm tall. She believes that there is always an opportunity to learn something from the things we pursue and it is one of the reasons why she opted to participate in the competition. She plans to use this platform to contribute meaningfully to society through her interpersonal skills, knowledge, and non-profit initiative to make a lasting impact. Elisheva Phillips is representing the city of San Fernando at the competition and is a marketing assistant. She is 21-year-old and stands 173 tall and calls herself a proudbiracial, animal lover and an activist who has 12 cats and once had a pet opossum / manicou. The diva is an entrepreneurial aspirant and makeup YouTuber hobbyist with a penchant for health and fitness and humanitarianism.
