At the conclusion of the finale of Miss Wyoming USA 2017 held on 18th September 2016 Mikaela Shaw was crowned as the winner. Mikaela will now represent Wyoming at the Miss USA 2017 pageant. A large crowd the filled the venue for the night, and a panel of prominent judges selected Mikaela as the winner.

The coronation night consisted of various preliminary segments, including evening gown, swimwear/active wear and interview. At the same pageant, Autumn Schieferstein of Cheyenne was crowned Miss Teen USA 2017. Autumn will now represent Wyoming at the Miss Teen USA 2017 pageant.

In addition to winning the coveted crowns, Mikaela & Autumn received thousands of dollars worth prizes and awards. Mikaela is not new to the pageants and was a contestant at the Miss America 2015 pageant. The beauty queen also has an inclination towards music and likes to play the violin.

The contestants for Miss USA 2017 are being crowned and some of the contestants have already been shortlisted for the much awaited 2017 edition of Miss USA. The Miss USA pageant is an annual national beauty pageant held in the US to select representative for the Miss Universe pageant. Traditionally, Miss USA lives in New York City during her reign. Since 1952, the Miss USA pageant has been in existence. The Miss Universe Organisation operates both Miss USA and Miss Universe pageant, as well as the Miss Teen USA.
