The glitzy finale of Miss Zimbabwe UK 2017 concluded with the crowning of Karen Kawadza. The event was held during the weekend in Holborn, London. Karen Kawadza is a model who is based in Manchester. She competed with other seven contestants for the coveted crown.

The winner is an avid photographer, promising music producer and traveler. She is also the founder of Eminent Youth Journal which will officially launch at the year end. The winner was crowned by former Miss Zimbabwe, Karen Stally.

The winner expressed her feeling by saying, “Words cannot begin to describe how honoured I am to have been crowned Miss World Zimbabwe UK Queen.”

“I am now looking forward to competing in Zimbabwe on the 22nd of July and hopefully qualifying to compete in Miss World later in the year,” she added.

This immensely talented girl is passionate about cultural, youth and empowerment initiatives. At the same event, Amanda Nkomo was crowned as the first runner-up and Laurah Simbi was adjudged as the 2nd Princess and was also chosen to be featured in a prestigious magazine, Contessa by the judges.

She also received the title of Miss Personality by fellow contestants. The pageant included several rounds such as swimwear, talent, evening wear, and tribal round.

Karen and the two other princesses will leave for Zimbabwe next week to compete for the Miss Zimbabwe 2017 title and the winner will then go for Miss World competition to be held this year.

The Miss World Zimbabwe UK competition is a celebration of Zimbabwe, its culture and of women, with an importance given to Beauty with a Purpose.
