At the grand finale of Miss Universe Great Britain 2015, Narissara Nena France from London was crowned as the winner by the outgoing queen Grace Levy. Nena will now represent Great Britain in the Miss Universe 2015 pageant. 24 years old Nene was Miss London 2013 and was also the second runner up in Miss England 2013.

Nena is of Indian-Thai origin. She signed a contract in 2013 with Elite Model Management London. “If I wasn’t a model, I’d probably be in Thailand, that’s somewhere I still really want to spend some time in.. I have a lot of family there so I want to get to know them better and learn more about my mothers culture.” said the beauty queen.

There was no British representative at Miss Universe from 2001 to 2004. Their highest placement was in 2012 with Amy Willerton when she made the Top 10. She became an instant hit with her Jessica Rabbit inspired gown but unfortunately she could not advance beyond Top 10.

The Miss Universe Great Britain 2014 Grace Levy passed on her crown and her responsibilities to the new queen. Before the splendid finale, Grace shared a very heartwarming farewell speech… “Being Miss Universe Great Britain has undoubtedly changed my life, not from the title itself and being a "beauty queen", but from the opportunities and challenges it has presented to me. It has made me grow as a person, and stretch myself physically and mentally. It has led me to find true love for British pageantry and take the scary leap to open my own business in this wonderful world despite it sometimes being an uphill battle and the odds I have faced against. Having the prestigious title has given me even more will power to never give up on my dreams, and constantly persue them….. I am so thrilled to hand over the title and watch another beauty embark on her own Miss Universe journey. To whoever wins, I hope it is as special and life changing as it was for me.”
