Nicole Renard crowned as Miss Washington 2017 for Miss America 2018

The Miss Washington pageant finally comes to a conclusion after two long days of judging at the Highline Performing Arts Centerin Burien, Washington. Nicole Renardas was crowned as Miss Washington 2017.

Nicole Renard will now represent Washington at the Miss America 2018 to be held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on September10, 2017. The event will be broadcast by the American Broadcasting Company (ABC). Miss America 2017 from Arkansas, Savvy Shields will officially crown her successor.

Renard received a scholarship of $10,000 along with the title and crown of Miss Washington 2017. Renard, originally of Kennwick, is a broadcast journalism major at Chapman University and also competed on the platform of, “A life without limits,” which encourages young boys and girls to set goals and dream big. She also received the crown and title of Miss City of Orange 2016.

Miss Washington 2016, Alicia Cooper passed the crown to her successor, Nicole Renard and signed off for the last time. While signing off, Alicia said, “I could not be more excited to pass the crown on to this exceptional woman. Nicole, I can't wait to watch you blossom throughout this year. I know that you will continue to build upon the legacy of this program, and I have full faith that you will do it with beauty, class, and elegance”.

Washington has also won several special awards in Talent, Swimsuit, Interview and Quality of Life (making a difference in your community) at Miss America. Let’s see if Nicole will be able to bring home the crown.
