The video shows Wendolly’s confirmation to participate at the Miss Universe pageant. She even thanked her supporters for the unconditional love and support that they have bestowed on her, right from the time Mexico first pulled out of the pageant. She also thanked the Miss World Chairperson Julia Morley for her support during difficult times. Mexico backed out of the Miss Universe pageant, following Donald Trump controversy, where Trump addressed the Mexican in a derogatory way. This particular comment of Trump led to a whole whirlpool of controversies, leading many Latin countries to pull out of the pageant.

However, in September 2015, Trump bought out NBC's 50% stake in the organization making him the company's sole owner, which he held for three days before selling the entire pageant to WME/IMG. The current president of the Miss Universe Organization is Paula Shugart. Trump’s moving out has proven to be an entry point for Mexico.
