The Concurso Nacional De Belleza organization has recently announced the appointment of Maria Fernanda has the new Nuestra Latinoamericana Universal Costa Rica 2022 as she will now represent Costa Rica at the upcoming edition of Nuestra Latinoamericana Universal. The diva replaced Fabiola Calvo for the title as she decided not to continue with her responsibilities as the organization's titular queen.

Maria Fernanda was Miss Pérez Zeledón in the previous edition of Miss Costa Rica and was highly appreciated throughout the journey. The diva also founded the Buzon De Suenos, an organization that seeks to help and provide the best quality of life to the child population of Pérez Zeledón at social risk.

Fernanda is a young woman with an undeniable beauty with her projection and attitude making her worthy of representing the country at the international platform. She is a strong, passionate and a driven Latina, which she feels in her blood.

The finale of the upcoming Nuestra Latinoamericana Universal pageant will take place later in 2022 in the city of Miami, Florida, United States; where candidates from 21 Latin American countries will compete for the title and the international crown.
