The Concurso Nacional de Belleza organization has recently announced the designation of Maria Lucia Cuesta to represent Colombia at the Reina Hispanoamericana 2022. The diva succeeds Maria Vengoechea who represented the country at the last edition of the international pageant and was adjudged as the first runner-up.

“I am very grateful to GOD, to the national beauty pageant, to my family and to all the people who have always been supporting me so that I continue on the path of fighting to achieve all my dreams, projects and goals. Thanks to all of this, I am I present the opportunity to represent Colombia in the Reina Hispanoamericana in October in Bolivia, and that makes me a faithful believer that everything comes at the right time, and I accept it with the greatest happiness and willingness to give my best,” the newly appointed queen shared.

Not new to pageantry, Maria was crowned Senorita Chocó 2021-2022 and was also adjudged as Segunda Princesa Nacional CNB 2021. The 22 years-old diva holds special strength in the swimsuit round and also radiates a loveable aura, charisma and simplicity. She is a beautiful woman, brave, persistent, committed, passionate, positive and very willing to learn and adapt to change.

Maria will prepare for her international stint at the Reina Hispanoamericana 2022 platform as she will be looking ahead for the fifth crown for Colombia. The 2022 edition will be held later this year in Bolivia. Reina Hispanoamericana is an annual beauty pageant celebrating Hispanic heritage, language and culture.
