The scintillating finale of Miss International Thailand 2016 concluded with the crowning of Pattiya Pongthai as Miss International Thailand 2016. Pattiya Pongthai will now represent Thailand at the Miss International 2016 pageant to be held on October 27, 2016 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan. At the end of the gala pageant Edymar Martínez from Venezuela will pass her crown and her reign to her successor.

The gala ceremony of Miss International Thailand 2016 took place on September 17’ 2016, and Patttiya Pongthai clinched the prestigious crown after defeating 13 other gorgeous Thai beauties. Pattiya also won the People’s Choice award at the finale night. The beauty queen succeeds Miss International Thailand 2015 Sasi Sintawee.
The finalists of Miss International Thailand 2016 went through a series of rigorous training and grooming sessions before they fought out the battle at the gala finale. They also went trough a series of activities and competitions before the finals. The finalists were judged through various rounds by a panel of judges that included professionals and experts from various fields.

This year, the Miss International Thailand pageant was televised as a reality show with each episode focusing on the different activities of the contestants, their journey and elimination. The Miss International Thailand 2016 live on Thairath TV Channel 32.
The major placement of Thailand at the Miss International pageant was in the year 1971, when Supuk Likitkul was adjudged the first runner-up. And second was in the year 2010, when Piyaporn Deejing finished as the second runner-up at the Miss International 2010 pageant.
