One remark by Donald Trump has ignited this whole spark of controversial cobweb which spread to not just withdrawing of partners and boycotting of the Miss Universe pageants by Latin countries, but to an extent where Donald Trump ended up calling Paulina Vega, the reigning Miss Universe, a hypocrite. To which, now Paulina has replied with a strong statement.
This all passing on the comment thing started when Paulina Vega came out and spoke about the whole Donald Trump issue, stating that she will not resign from the title of Miss Universe because the Miss Universe Organization is doing good work, however she doesn’t support the remark made by Donald J Trump. To which Donald Trump ended up calling her a hypocrite. Paulina in her recent statement clears out her side of story on her statement and why is it unfeasible of Donald Trump to call her a hypocrite. Below is her transcript…
“It’s not so easy to give up, I have a signed contract. It does not make sense that Mr. Donald Trump call me a hypocrite. The political issue has nothing to do with Miss Universe…some people are forgetting that I signed a contract. I have a commitment to the Miss Universe Organization, an organization that has made clear that it is not involved in political issues. It is sad that many people are paying the price for this political campaign.”
With this one statement Paulina states it clear that the Miss Universe should have no political issues or agendas tied to it and that being a titleholder is no cakewalk. Hopefully this issue with Donald and Paulina ends here with this. If not, there are chances that things could get worse.
