Prinsha Shreshtha has been dethroned of her title as Miss Nepal Earth 2014 effective April 5' 2015 as per the official announcement made by the organizers of Miss Nepal pageant - The Hidden Treasure Nepal Pvt Ltd. The dethronement announcement comes subsequent to the controversy surrounding her participating in Miss Eco-Egypt without the knowledge or consent of the organizers.
Consequent to her dethronement, the second runner-up and Miss Nepal International 2014, Sonie Rajbhandari will be awarded the title of Miss Nepal Earth 2014.
Below is the text of official announcement made by the organizers -
"This is to announce that The Hidden Treasure Pvt. Ltd (organizers of Miss Nepal Pageant) have decided to withdraw Miss Nepal Earth 2014 reigning title and crown from Miss Prinsha Shrestha effective from April 5th 2015 on following grounds:-
1. Misconduct, indiscipline and unacceptable behavior as the title holder.
2. Controversial public image in the form of questionable behavior and Mass Media appearance.
3. Travelling outside the country without our consent representing the nation.
4. Participation in an international pageant which is in conflict of interest with The Hidden Treasure Pvt. Ltd as a reigning Miss Nepal Earth 2014.
As reigning Miss Nepal Earth 2014 and as per the agreement/contract that Ms. Prinsha Shrestha has with full awareness, signed with us, we are taking this action. In this context the Board of Directors of The Hidden Treasure Pvt. Ltd. on April 2, 2015 decided to take away Miss Nepal Earth 2014 title from Ms. Shrestha on grounds of inability and failure to uphold the dignity, discipline, decency and decorum of Miss Nepal Earth 2014 title.
This is also to announce that Ms. Sonie Rajbhandari – Miss Nepal International 2014 (Second runner up) will be awarded the Miss Nepal Earth 2014 ( First runner up) title.
This is announced and effective from April 5th, 2015"
