The Bollywood and Hollywood famed actress and the former Miss World Priyanka Chopra recently tweeted on her official twitter account in order to congratulate the Indian Air Force for the recent air strike across the Line of Control that destroyed a terror camp in Pakistan. In her tweet, she wrote, “Jai Hind Indian Armed Forces”on 26th February 2019. This move of hers instigated Pakistan to state an online petition, seeking Priyanka’s removal from UNICEF as a Goodwill Ambassador.

Although many other Bollywood actors tweeted and congratulated the Indian Air Force and the Indian Government over the move, but Priyanka’s tweet did not fare well with the Pakistani residents as despite holding such an honorable position, she was supposed to stay neutral, but instead, this gesture of hers allegedly manifests that she is provoking war by choosing to take sides.

The petition was uploaded on Avaaz and stated that "War between two nuclear powers can only lead to destruction & death. As goodwill ambassador of UNICEF, Priyanka Chopra was supposed to stay neutral & peaceful but her tweet in favour of Indian ArmedForces after they invaded Pakistan airspace shows otherwise. She doesn’t deserve this title anymore.”

Moreover, the petition, which tagged the United Nations and the UNICEF, was initially approved by 2,200 signatories and later it received over 4,200 signatures out of a 5,000 mark.
