The organization of Puteri Indonesia announced that Puteri Indonesia Foundation and PT Mustika Ratu Tbk will hold the coronation for Puteri Indonesia 2021 soon where the delegates from all over the country will compete for the national crown and earn their chance to represent Indonesia at Miss Universe 2021, Miss International 2021, and Miss Supranational 2021.
Fiza Khan is one of the divas who has caught everyone’s attention for the title as she seems like a potential candidate to represent Indonesia at international competition. Fiza is Pakistani-Indonesian model who has managed to impress the pageant fanatics with her looks and determination towards goals. She is 19-years-old and stands 175 cm tall and is one of the favorites for the title. She is represented by Studio47.
The diva is the head of content and ideas for Green Welfare, an organization which provides plant-based means to the less fortunate and manages a thrift store on social media (@artemisthrift) that consists of both of her own preloved clothes, some pieces she customizes, as well as ones that she finds when she thrifts. “It’s a more sustainable way to shop compared to conventional fast fashion,” Fiza says.
Fiza is confident, strong, determined and focused with where she wants to invest her time and energy which at the moments is Green Welfare and modeling. She is stylish and fashionable and asking about her fashion statement, Fiza concludes, “I honestly don’t care about what people think about me based on my style. I have a different aesthetic almost every week, I change up my style a lot. One day I could be wearing all black and lots of chains, the next day I could be wearing a pink dress. So, there’s really no goal for me on how people see me. But at the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter what other people think. It’s what you think about yourself.”
Just like a strong, empowered women, the Pakistani-Indonesian beauty believes that body positivity is important especially during the times when there is so much competition on social media. She mentioned, “Work hard on your goals, and that’s what is important at the end of the day.” She is very clear about her ambitions in life and showcases true qualities of a representative of Indonesia for Miss Universe. She maybe new to the pageantry world but is well equipped with the knowledge and skills as a model.
Fiza wants to use the platform if given a chance to create awareness and educate people on why changing to the sustainable lifestyle is important. In one of her posts, she mentioned, “Change always starts with the first step. As individuals, we can initiate the change by changing our consumption habit and product-usage lifestyle. I’m committing to reducing my use of single use plastic and will be using this reusable set instead.”
With her confidence, enchanting personality with strong opinions, clear and focused mind makes her a potential candidate to represent the people of her country at international competitions in future.
