Desiree Magdalena Roring appointed Puteri Indonesia Sulawesi Utara 2020

The 24th edition of Puteri Indonesia pageant which is Puteri Indonesia 2020 is going to host the coronation ceremony on March 6th 2020 in Jakarta. 39 delegates from across Indonesia will compete for the title. Frederika Alexis Cull, Puteri Indonesia 2019 will crown her successor at the end of the pageant. Winner of this pageant will represent Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant later this year whereas the first and second runner-up will represent Indonesia at the Miss International 2020 and Miss Supranational 2020 pageant respectively.

Desiree Magdalena Roring from Manado has been appointed as the official representative of the Sulawesi Utara at in Puteri Indonesia 2020. Desiree is 23-years-old and stands 175cm tall with a degree in International Relations from Pelita Harapan University. Desiree is new to the beauty pageant world but has shown immense dedication and focus towards winning the title and opportunity to represent Indonesia at Miss Universe 2020. Desiree is very close to her family and feels very thankful to them for always supporting her to achieve her dreams.

Desiree recently became a member for the For Children Foundation as she desires to be able to eradicate and raise awareness among people about issues like bullying, sexual violence and mental health issues which are common in Indonesian children.

Desiree is hardworking, persistent and very compassionate towards others. She has started to prepare herself for the finale and wants to impress the judging panel with her humbleness and very on point performance on stage. She has started to work on her on-stage walk, interview and communication skills so that she can achieve the title for her province and later represent her country at Miss Universe 2020.
