Miss Gibraltar 2018 finale details revealed

Gibraltar Cultural Services on behalf of the Ministry of Culture invited young aspirants of the crown of Miss Gibraltar, to sign up for the 2018 Miss Gibraltar Pageant.

The grand finale of Miss Gibraltar 2018 is slated to take place at John Mackintosh Square on June 30, 2018. During the conclusion of the pageant, Jodie Garcia will crown her successor as the new Miss World Gibraltar, who will then represent Gibraltar at Miss World 2018.

Gibraltar last placed at Miss World pageant in 2013 when Maroua Kharbouch was titled with the People’s Choice Award, thereby attaining a position in the Top 6 of Miss World 2013. Gibraltar has won the Miss World crown once under the representation of Kaiane Aldorino, who was crowned as Miss World 2009.

According to the website:

Candidates must be aged between 17 (as at 30th June 2018) and not more than 25 years old (as at 31st December 2018).

The first 10 candidates to sign for the Pageant will each receive £400.

The newly crowned Miss World Gibraltar 2018 will receive £2,000 cash and £3,500 clothing allowance as the prize. While the first runner-up will be rewarded with £1,000 cash and £500 clothing allowance. Meanwhile, the second runner-up will grab £500 cash and £500 clothing allowance as the winning reward.

Closing date for entries is noon on Friday 24th February 2018

While the winner of Miss Gibraltar represents the nation at Miss World pageant, the first runner-up will represent the country at Miss International 2018. The second runner-up, however, goes to represent the country at the Miss Supranational pageant.
