With the recent announcement by the organization, Reina Hispanoamericana 2019 has been postponed indefinitely following the post-election turmoil and unrest in host country, Bolivia.

Promociones Glorias, organizers of the Reina Hispanoamericana, announced the unfortunate news of the pageant's postponement, which the Miss World Philippines organization diligently reposted.

The coronation night was to happen on 9th November 2019 but had to be postponed due to social unrest currently happening in Bolivia. The delegates who were supposed to arrive for the pageant will stay in Canada while the situation is expected to improve in the coming days.

Philippines’ representative Katrina Llegado was already in Bolivia when the announcement was made. She will also be staying in Canada visiting her loved ones meanwhile. She wrote, “See you again, Bolivia! Your people are both beautiful and tough. I admire the strength of your conviction. I humbly ask for prayers for Bolivia. Pray for protection, peace, and justice. For those who are asking, I will be in Toronto to spend meaningful time with my loved ones. Tuloy pa rin ang laban, Filipinas.”

The reigning Reina Hispanoamericana is Nariman Battikha of Venezuela who will crown her successor at this year’s edition.
