Nepal’s rising performance in the pageantry

Nepal has proven its worth in the pageantry with splendid performances at the international pageants, specially in the last decade. With rising performances and winning a top spot in the pageants, Nepal is not far from acquiring an essential position in the pageant world soon.

The country has shown immense improvement specially in Miss World pageant by winning a placement four times in the last eight years. While Shristi Shrestha won a spot in Top 40 in 2012, Ishani Shrestha gave an incredible performance to win a place in Top 10 in 2013. In 2017, Nikita Chandak placed in Top 40 while in 2018, Shrinkhala Khatiwada not only won the coveted Beauty with a Purpose title but also a place in people’s hearts with her elegance and charm.

2018 was a special year for Nepal as the country won a placement in three out of six international pageants; Manita Devkota won a place in Top 10 in Miss Universe 2018, Shrinkhala Khatiwada won a place in Top 12 in Miss World 2018 and Priya Sidgel won a place in Top 18 in Miss Earth 2018.

This year also has been fruitful for the country as Priya Rani Lama recently won Miss Cosmopolitan World 2019 defeating delegates from all the over world for the crown. She also placed first runner-up in National Costume and Talent Competition. Her pageantry journey from the beginning also includes Miss Purwanchal 2nd Place and Miss Nepal 2nd Place in 2010 and then Face of Beauty Top 20 in 2018.

With all these marvellous performances by the delegates in the recent years, Nepal is surely flying high and will achieve a strong and dominant position in the pageantry soon. This year’s delegates also boast of confident and strong women who will for sure give a fierce competition to the other ladies at the international platform.
