Harlijk Productions, through their official social media, have announced the appointment of Paula Madarieta Ortega as Philippines’ official representative to the Reinado Internacional Del Café 2023 which will be held in January 2023 in Colombia.

On making it the first ever Filipina to compete at the pageant, Paula took to the official social media as she quoted, “I am thrilled to announce that I have been appointed to represent the Philippines in Reinado Internacional del Café, one of the oldest and biggest pageants in Latin-American countries, for this coming 2023. I will be the very first Filipina to represent our country in the pageant, so that pressure gives me so much motivation to put our country high up. Thank you to everyone who believed in me and knew that I had something coming for me. As they say, you're only redirected.”

Paula holds dual citizenships for Philippines and Spain. She speaks fluent Spanish, English & Filipino which will be advantageous for her as she competes at the international pageant. She graduated with a degree in Medical Laboratory Technician and worked as a Laboratory Assistant at Saint Paul Hospital of Barcelona. Later, she decided to pursue Nursing from the University of Barcelona and it was only last month when she completed her graduation and is now a certified nurse.

Not new to the pageant world, Paula was Miss Universe Philippines Top 10, Miss World Philippines Top 15 & Miss Universe Spain Top 5. She is currently in Barcelona and is working as a nurse. Congratulations to the filipina beauty.
