Ismelys Velásquez of Venezuela crowned Reinado Internacional del Café 2022

Reinado Internacional del Café 2022, the 50th edition of the international pageant was hosted on 8th January 2022 at the Centro Cultural y Convenciones Teatro Los Fundadores, Colombia where delegates from all over the globe competed for the international crown. At the end of the event, Venezuela’s Ismelys Velásquez was crowned as the new queen as she succeeded Reina Internacional Del Cafe 2020/21 Iris Yazminhe Guerra for the title.

Virreina Internacional del Café 2022 - Maria Eduarda Valotto of Brazil

First finalist – Mariana Loaiza of Colombia

Second finalist – Luciana Martínez of El Salvador

Third finalist – Rebecca Stoughton of United States

The beautiful and charismatic 21 years-old Ismelys has a terrific portfolio as a pageant veteran. The diva was most recently crowned as Miss Mesoamérica International 2021. She was also previously crowned as Miss La Guaira 2020 and represented La Guaira at Miss Venezuela 2020, Reina Carnavales Vargas 2018 and Queen of Venezuelan Cacao 2018.

 

 

The queen also went on to express her gratitude on a social media post as she shared, “Thank you God for guiding my steps, to my family for being my engine in each project, to the organizations Reinado del Cafe Venezuela and Reinado del Café de Cacao, Jhon Gomez and Lunna Copland for becoming a family and helping me improve in all aspects and to you, the most loyal followers, thank you because you have supported me since day one. This achievement is not only mine, it belongs to all of you, it is from VENEZUELA! We did it!”

After being crowned, Ismaleys was also awarded an 18-karat Gold Bracelet with Colombian emeralds, presented by the mayor of Manizales and made by the Joyeria luxury brand. The newly crowned queen now has the responsibility of representing in the World the values of the Colombian Coffee culture, in which the work of the coffee growers of Manizales stands out.
