Sinulog Festival Queen 2019 Nicole Yance Borromeo crowned Reyna ng Aliwan 2019

The most anticipated festival of the Philippines, Reyna Ng Aliwan 2019 took place in the beautiful city of Pasay. Manila Broadcasting Company, Star City and the Cultural Centre of the Philippines in cooperation with the cities of Manila and Pasay once again celebrated this biggest and most famous festival this year. The festival commenced on 25th April and ended on 27th April 2019.

The event highlighted various activities such as the Float Parades, Reyna ng Aliwan and Street Dance Competition. This year’s edition witnessed Sinulog Festival Queen 2019, Nicole Yance Borromeo, winning the Reyna ng Aliwan crown. The 18-year-old beauty queen was entitled Reyna ng Aliwan 2019 during the pageant night held on 27th April 2019, Saturday at the Aliw Theater in Pasay, Metro Manila.

Besides Nicole’s crowning, other winners were also declared. The newly crowned queen’s court included First Runner-Up winner Aubrhie Carpio who represented the Singkaban Festival. It was a triple tie for the second place that went to Roi Neve Comada for representing Panagbenga Festival, Alayyza Izzabelle Tolimao for representing Agten Tufi Festival, and Leandrea Gabrielle Batingan for representing Tanglawan Festival. Apart from this, a series of special awards was also presented to the contestants –

Best in Music and Costume - Tribu Buraburon represented Buraburon Festival of Burauen Leyte

Apart from this, the winner also won Miss White Rose, Best in Swimsuit, and Best in Evening Gown during the pre-pageant competition held on Friday, 26th April 2019.

Apart from bringing home the Aliwan Festival crown, Nicole also secured the Best in Festival Costume award. The newly crowned queen looked angelic in a white ballgown which was designed by Cebuano designers, Orville Biongcog and Brianna Alexis Gomez. It was the similar gown that she wore during the Sinulog Festival Queen 2019 competition in January.

The crown of Reyna ng Aliwan 2019 is more than special for the beauty as this is her very first national crown as she has other provincial titles under her belt such as Sinulog Festival Queen 2019, Miss Silka Cebu 2017 and Miss Mandaue 2018 first runner-up.

The event was a huge success as it witnessed various stellar performances and the entire event was filled with fun, excitement and glamour. Post winning Reyna ng Aliwan 2019, Nicole will be staying in Manila to prepare for her stint in Miss Teen Philippines 2019 pageant which is scheduled to take place on 08th May 2019.
