On 16th October 2016, the Miss Intercontinental 2016 will crown its winner. For the first time, the Miss Intercontinental pageant will be held in Sri Lanka. Contestants from more than 60 countries will compete to clinch the coveted title of Miss Intercontinental 2016. Miss Intercontinental 2016 is going to be the 45th edition of the pageant.

Before the gala finale, the contestants will go on board on a pre-pageant tour around Sri Lanka hosted by Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts from October 6th – 10th, covering the country’s beaches, culture, heritage and wildlife.

On the first day of their arrival, the delegates will travel from Colombo to Habarana, and will visit places like the rock temple in Dambulla enroute to Cinnamon Lodge Habarana. The next destination for the contestants will be Minneriya National Park which is famous for Asian Elephants. On day 2, the delegates will visit tourist sites like Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa.

Day 3 touring will involve touring around the villages in Hiriwadunna and then proceed to Trincomalee in time for lunch at Trinco Blu by Cinnamon. Till the finale, the contestants will visit various religious as well as scenic places, and will also be involved in various preliminary activities and competitions.

The Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts will be the home base for the Miss Intercontinental 2016 contestants. The 2016 finale will follow a ‘fairy tale’ theme and will include performances from renowned musical bands.
