Miss Myanmar World 2017 pageant is on its road to the finale and is scheduled to be held on 10th June 2017. Miss Myanmar World is an annual national beauty pageant that selects representatives for the Miss World pageant. In case the winner doesn’t qualify due to age or other reasons, a runner-up is sent instead. The Miss World pageant abides by the motto “Beauty With a Purpose”. The grand slam pageant is organised by Channel 7 and Forever BEC-Tero.
Miss Myanmar World pageant is organized in search of the bold, the beautiful and the talented representatives of Myanmar. The first edition of Miss Myanmar World was held on September 27’ 2014, where the very gorgeous and talented 19-years old Wyne Lay was crowned the winner. Wyne Lay is a singer, lyricist and a pianist by profession. She further went on to represent Myanmar at the Miss World 2014 pageant held in London, England and became the first Miss World Myanmar after Myanmar revived its participation at the Miss World contest.
The winner of Miss Myanmar World 2017 will represent Myanmar at the Miss World 2017 pageant. The winner will be awarded the prize money worth Ks100 Lakh and will win a crown from Forever Gems of Shwe Nan Taw. The first runner-up will also win a crown and the prize money worth Ks30 Lakh. The second runner up will receive a crown and Ks20 lakh.

The Miss Myanmar World Oganisation selects the finalists through a two tier process. Initially an audition is organized to select the semi-finalists through personal interview. Then after a series of events and competitions, the finalists are announced. After the selection and the announcement of the final list of delegates, the contestants go through a string of training and grooming sessions to prepare them for the final gala night.
The reigning Miss World Myanmar is Myat Thiri Lwin, and at the conclusion of the finale, the beauty will pass on her crown to one of the finalists.
