At the recently concluded finale of Miss Scuba Philippines 2017, Sherlyn Legaspi Doloriel has been crowned as the winner, and she will now represent the Philippines in Miss Scuba International 2017 pageant to be held on 18th November 2017 in Malaysia. She succeeds Miss Scuba Philippines 2016 Meryl Angeline King, and was the clear favourite to win this year's title from the beginning; so no surprises here! She was also named 'Darling of the Press' after the press presentation held on 14th September 2017.

Sherlyn is 23 years of age and hails from Misamis Oriental. While managing her studies and participating in beauty pageants, she has managed to reconnect with the sea through scuba diving. She is licensed PADI Scuba Driver, which is all the more reason for her deserving the title. As a lover of the sea, she wants to work for the conservation of marine life. She believes that if we all work together to promote the health of the ocean and preserve the life in it, we can conserve the life under the sea because a small amount of support in numbers can create a big wave of change.
