Sandra Alvarado was crowned Srta. Ecuador 2023 at the finale of CNB Ecuador 2023 held in May 2023 as she became the official representative of Ecuador at Miss World 2024. Sandra succeeds Annie Zámbrano Srta. Ecuador 2022 who will represent Ecuador at Miss World 2023.

Sandra Alvarado was 23 years of age when she was crowned the official representative of Ecuador at Miss World 2024. Born and raised in Santo Domingo, Sandra graduated as a lawyer last year. Although pageantry wasn’t a priority for Sandra as her love for music and law took precedence, she still managed to impress the jury with her humanitarian efforts and eloquence.

Sandra is also the ambassador of ‘El Rincon del Futuro’, a community organization that believes ‘action gives power to out voice’. The organization teaches extra-curricular workshops to foster a healthy environment for children.

On winning the national crown, Sandra took to her official social media as she wrote, “I have so much to be grateful for that perhaps a single post is not enough; It has been almost a year of preparation in every way to achieve this dream, a dream that did not constitute a crown but rather that powerful message of beauty with a purpose that today is materialized thanks to the work of many people who believed in me.”

“Once again I ratify my commitment to work much harder so that Ecuador continues to position itself as a country that highlights inner beauty, that which does not come from a size but from the soul, respect, leadership and good actions. Remember, the only crown we need is to be a good human being”, she added.

Miss World 2024 will be the 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant where the winner of Miss World 2023 will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The current Miss World is Karolina Bielawska of Poland.
