Miss Universe 2015 to be Hosted by Steve Harvey

Emmy Award winner, Steve Harvey will host Miss Universe 2015 pageant. The news was announced today by The Miss Universe Organization and FOX. The three-hour annual event will air live from Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas Sunday, 20’ December on FOX.

Broderick Stephen "Steve" Harvey is an eminently known American comedian, television host, radio personality, actor, and author. He hosts The Steve Harvey Morning Show, Steve Harvey’s The Talk Show, and Family Feud. He is the author of Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, which was published in March 2009, and the book Straight Talk, No Chaser: How to Find and Keep a Man. Harvey formerly hosted Showtime at the Apollo, starred in The Steve Harvey Show, and was featured in The Original Kings of Comedy. He is a three-time Daytime Emmy Award winner, and an 11-time NAACP Image Award winner in various categories.

Steve Harvey tweeted on Thursday that he'll be hosting the Miss Universe beauty pageant, which found a new home on Fox this fall after Donald Trump sold the rights to WME/IMG. Expressing his joy over the privilege, Steve added: "I am thrilled to be hosting this iconic event for the first time ever. It's exciting to be working with FOX, IMG and the Miss Universe Organization to make this year's Miss Universe telecast a huge success."

David Madden, President of the Entertainment channel, Fox Broadcasting Company said: “Steve Harvey is one of the funniest, most likeable personalities on TV today, and he’s the perfect host for this very special evening. The combination of Steve and the talented, impressive women vying for the Miss Universe title is sure to make this a night to remember.”

Contestants from more than 80 countries will contend to become the next Miss Universe in this special programming event, which will conclude with current Miss Universe Paulina Vega of Colombia crowning her successor on December 20' 2015.
