The Miss Diva organization is yet to begin the hunt for the 10th edition of the national competition this year. The winner will succeed Miss Universe India 2021 cum Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu for the title and an opportunity to represent India at Miss Universe 2022.

Making into the wishlist for this year’s edition of Miss Universe India is Tarini Kalingarayar of Chennai. Fans want Tarini to compete yet again at this year’s competition as she beautifully finished as the third runner up at LIVA Miss Diva 2021 where reigning Miss Universe Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu was adjudged as the winner.

The 22-year-old holds a degree in Visual Communication from M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women, Chennai and acts as a model on the work front. Kalingarayar enjoys being behind the lenses as much being in front of it as she has a passion for photography and filmmaking. A sports enthusiast in spirit, Tarini also loves spending her time creatively practicing makeup and trying different looks for a better self-expression.  

Tarini can’t help but be deeply influenced by the force of nature, having grown up in the forests of Nilgiri mountains with her grandfather and coming from such an environmentally endowed state of Tamil Nadu, considered one of the major parts of bio-diversity hotspots around the world. The diva advocates for wildlife and forest conservation and hopes to inspire the same passion towards nature in her 1.38 billion countrymates.

While the road to Miss Universe India 2022 has not been laid yet, Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu has rolled into her media week at New York, USA. She will crown her successor at the end of this year, both nationally and internationally. Previously Adline Castelino placed as the third runner-up at Miss Universe 2020, the winner this year will have some big shoes to fill in.
