Miss Nicaragua 2017 finale is just a week away and is scheduled to be held on 11th March 2017. The national pageant of Nicaragua selects representative for the Miss Universe and Miss International, and other major international pageants. A total of 12 finalists are vying for the coveted title this year, and at the conclusion of the finale Marina Jacoby will pass on her crown to her successor. To spice up the excitement a bit, we have decided to bring forth our favourites for the title this year. Berenice Quezada Herrera – The first on the list of favourite is 23 year old Berenice Quezada. Originally hailing from El Rama, Berenice has a degree in Tourism and Hotel Management. She aspires to win the Miss Nicaragua 2017 title because she believes this will also bring the opportunities to explore more on humanitarian activities.
Helen Martinez Treminio – Next in the line of favourites is 22 year old Helen Martinez. Hailing from Matagalpa, Helen is a student of Marketing and Advertising. The beauty queen aspires to be Miss Nicaragua because she wants to be the voice for those women who are suppressed in the society and are not able to chase their dreams. According to Helen, women must follow their dreams regardless of the social or economic condition.
Jeimy Lampson – Moving on to our next favourite, we have 23 year old Jeimy Lampson. Hailing from Bilwi, Puerto Cabezas, Jeimy has a degree in Psychology. She wants to win the Miss Nicaragua title, because it will give her the platform to reach out to people and that way she will be able to spread awareness against social and adolescent problems, such as drug addiction and human trafficking.
Martha Soledad Meza – Next in our line of favourites is 24 year old Martha Soledad Meza. Martha is a graduate in Industrial Engineering and aspires to be the next Miss Nicaragua because she wants to show her country and the world that women are capable of making it big on their own, and they are capable of making their dreams come true.
Teresa Moreno – Last but not the least is 25 year old Teresa Moreno hailing from León. Currently Teresa is in her sixth year of Medicine. It has been Teresa’s dream of becoming a Miss Nicaragua since her childhood. Teresa believes that the title will help her to work with the society and bring more focus to the health sector.
