Triana Browne, competing as Miss Oklahoma City, was crowned as Miss Oklahoma 2017 at Oral Roberts University’s Mabee Center on Saturday night. Judges were convinced that Triana Browne, 24, was the best among the contestants.

She will now represent her state at the Miss America competition 2018, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on September10, 2017. The event will be broadcasted by the American Broadcasting Company (ABC). Miss America 2017 and Miss Arkansas 2016, Savvy Shields, will officially crown her successor at the finals.
Browne, 24, is an Oklahoma State University graduate. “It’s an unbelievable feeling because last year I wasn’t even a finalist in anything, to be able to come back and work extremely hard and then to win is just an overwhelming feeling.” Browne said.
On September 9, contestants will take a break from competition to participate in the “Show Us Your Shoes” parade on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. On September 10, ABC will televise the final night of pageantry live and allow millions to witness the crowning of a new Miss America.
