With all the changes being made under the JKN Global Group ownership of Miss Universe, Nevin Rupear resigned as the national director of Miss Maurice a few days back due to the ongoing franchise bidding.

However, Miss Maurice Organization has now announced that Former Miss Universe Mauritius Vandana Jeetah, a lawyer and founder of an NGO, will be taking over the responsibilities of Miss Maurice organization as the National Director.

It is a huge role for Vandana to continue developing and helping young women in Mauritius to achieve their dream, not just in Miss Universe but also other pageants. Vandana is also the perfect choice to take over these responsibilities as she already has the experience and can mentor the contestants and prepare them for international platforms.

Nonetheless, Nevin Rupear will be part of the Board of Executive to mentoring Vandana. Vandana, as Miss Universe Mauritius 2020, represented Mauritius at Miss Universe 2020 but unfortunately did not place in the Top 21. The country is yet to win its first placement at Miss Universe pageant.
