World Miss University 2017 winner Claudia Moras Baez of Cuba

 

The 28th edition of World Miss University, which was held on 20th December 2017 at Koh Pich Theatre in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, witnessed more than 80 girls from across the globe competing to clinch the crown of World Miss University 2017. World Miss University 2016 winner Kelin Poldy Rivera Kroll from Peru crowned Claudia Moras Baez of Cuba as the winner of World Miss University 2017 beauty pageant.

Nina Yevtushenko of Ukraine was declared as the first runner-up, while Daniela Gods Romanovska of Latvia finished as the second runner-up.

Claudia, originally from Cuba, has earlier competed in Miss World Spain 2015 pageant where she won the special award for Miss Sympathy. Miss World Spain 2015 pageant (as you may recollect) was won by Mireia Lalaguna who went on to win the Miss World 2015 title as well. Earlier this year, she was also appointed Miss International Cuba 2017 though she did not compete in Miss International 2017 pageant which was won by Kevin Lilliana of Indonesia.

The WMU pageant is organized by World Miss University Organizing Committee which is headquartered in Manhattan, New York, United States.
