Some call her an endearing confident woman, while others mull over her as a girl next door, but there’s no denying the fact that Subeksha Khadka, Miss Nepal International 2012 has always been a face no one can forget. She has built a name for herself in the last 5 years, like no other. She has come a long way, from being a shy girl in her school days to owning the screen in her various brand endorsements, this lady is unstoppable.
Therefore, it wasn’t a surprise when the news came in that this attractive Nepali beauty is representing her country in World Miss University this year. With her looks, poise, and popularity, she can conquer the whole world then what is a beauty pageant, right.
Subeksha calls herself a shy girl though it doesn’t reflect from the kind of confidence she brings in when she talks, specially in front of a camera. This 24-year-old has gone through a major change since her crowning in 2012, and this she admits herself. She is more aware of her personality and she tries to portray her original self in front of all. Probably this naturality of hers makes her such a loved person in Nepal. She brings in her aura of positivity and peace wherever she goes.
Subeksha is a very close person in life but that has never deterred her be one of the friendliest faces in crowd. You can easily spot this smiling girl in a throng of people coolly gelling up with everyone and making them all feel at home.
If you ask this beauty what loves the most, she would probably say to cuddle in her blanket while enjoying a romantic novel or watching a romantic Channing Tatum movie. She is a die-hard romantic by heart who enjoys small things in life whether it’s enjoying traditional Nepali food or spending some quality time with her Pageant sisters, Nagna Shrestha and Shristi Shrestha.
What has worked in her favour is her curious nature in life in general. Asking various questions and getting involved in her work scrupulously, she is always keen for information and knowledge. She has given back to the society in her own little ways, whether it’s being the goodwill ambassador for Help to Needy Children or raising funds for various social causes in Nepal. Subeksha has never shied away from her duties as a beauty queen and a public figure; she has spoken openly about various stigmas that are eating the growth of the society.
Nepal has had a pleasant history when it comes to World Miss University competition. Nepalese beauties have had their share of success in this contest. With the past participants like Ayusha Shrestha (winner in 2003), Usha Rajak, Ayusha Karki, Priyanka Pokharel and last year Nagma Shrestha (3rd runner-up) from Nepal, the benchmark for Subeksha is already set high.
The Nepal’s natives have already kept their fingers crossed for this beauty to prove her worth in this international and bring glory for the country with her wit and charisma on 20th December 2017 when the finale night of World Miss University 2017 will take place at Koh Pich theatre hall located at capital city Phnom Penh, Cambodia. A strong bet for World Miss University 2017, Subeksha definitely has what it takes to triumph.
